Itinerary
DAY 01: Arrive/ Srinagar Mughal Gardens
Arrive Srinagar transfer to Hotel, After lunch, join a sightseeing trip to Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 AD. And Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountainsin the background. ,Shankaracharia Temple Overnight in Hotel.
DAY 02: Srinagar / Sonamarg /srinagar
Today post breakfast, drive to Sonamarg The distance of about 88 kms will be covered about 2/3 hrs. Sonamarg lies in Sindh valley streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonamarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan Lake. The everlasting Thajiwas glacier, 3 Km from Sonamarg, provides a chance to enjoy sledge ride on Snow even in mid – summer. Ponies are available up to the glacier from Sonamarg by evening return back to Srinagar overnight at Hotel.
DAY 03: Srinagar /Gulmarg
Today post breakfast, drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 Mts. above sea level. The distance of 125 kms will be covered in about 4/5 hrs. Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather permits. The View enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. One can also have a short trek upto Khilangmarg which can be covered in about 3 to 4 hrs . arrive and transfer to Hotel.Post lunch enjoy cable car ride on Asias longest run cable car project upto 13500 Fts,by evening return back to Hotel.
DAY 04: Gulmarg /Pahalgam
Today post breakfast, and drive to Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds). Drive through Saffron fields, visit Awantipura ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiwareman). Drive through the pine forest and along Lidder River. The total distance of about 145 kms will be covered in about 4/5 hrs, arrive and transfer to Hotel.Evening enjoy walk around lidder river overnight at Hotel.
DAY 05: Pahalgam
Post breakfast enjoy local Sightseeing of Pahalgam including Betaab Valley and Aru Valley by local Jeep by afternoon return back to Hotel for lunch..After lunch enjoy Optional pony ride to Bisaran Valley overnight at Hotel.
DAY 06: Pahalgam/Srinagar
Post breakfast drive to Srinagar (90 Kms /3 Hours drive) on arrival check in at Hotel .Late afternoon visit old city which includes Shah Hamadan Mosque,Jamia Mosque and a walk through the old city on the banks of river Jehlum,Evening enjoy shikara ride on Dal lake visiting Nehru Park and floating gardens overnight at Hotel.
DAY 07: Departure
